My early rural childhood directed me towards a keen observation, love and respect of nature and natural forms. This abiding interest has continued to inform my work.
Born in Young, NSW, Deanna Doyle has been drawing and painting all her life. She attended the National Art School, Newcastle, and NCAE (Newcastle College of Advanced Education) from 1969-73, where she completed the Diploma in Art Education with Honours.
In her long career, Deanna has been a teacher of Art in secondary schools and the WEA, a scenic artist for film, theatre and television and has illustrated two botanical volumes on Australian native plants.
She has exhibited regularly in both solo and groups shows in Sydney, Newcastle and Young.
Her work is represented in public collections in Australia and private collections in the UK, USA and Holland.
Elected a member of the Australian Watercolour Insitute in 2018, Deanna Doyle lives and works in Balmain.
