ENTRY GUIDELINES

GUIDELINES FOR PRE-SELECTION

Professional artists with an exhibition profile are invited to submit digital images of two recent watercolours for pre-selection by the AWI Executive Committee.
Maximum unframed size: A full sheet measuring 56 x 76 cms
Format: Artworks may be in Landscape or Portrait format.

1. SUBMISSION OF DIGITAL IMAGES
Digital images must be a true and accurate representation of your paintings. The digital images must be of original works completed during the last 12 months and should reflect the technique, art and spirit of watercolour. Pre-selected works will be subject to final selection for exhibition by the AWI Executive Committee based solely on the quality of the submitted original, framed watercolour paintings.

2. SUPPORT INFORMATION
Your completed Entry Form and a CURRICULM VITAE of no more than one page must accompany the images. Please ensure you have paid your AUD $40.00 entry fee, which can be done via our website www.awi.com.au. We will not start processing your application until payment has been received.

3. FILE FORMATS
High-quality .jpg. All written information should be .doc.

4. FILE SIZE and RESOLUTION
Images submitted should be 300 DPI and each image should not exceed 2MB.

5. NAMING OF FILES
Please adhere to the following naming convention when submitting your image files: first name initial.last name.one word that represents the title of your work.jpg
For example: m.smith.waterfall.jpg

6. SUBMISSION
Submissions received after the close of business on the deadline date (to be advised) cannot be considered. All participants will receive written acknowledgement of the status of their entries as soon as possible after the pre-selection process has been completed.

7. SHOULD YOUR ARTWORK BE PRE-SELECTED:
You will be advised on what date and where to deliver your work.

8. The AWI will not pay any freight or courier charges. Artists must make their
own arrangements and organise payment. Return freight and courier arrangements must also be organised by artists as required.

9. All works should be for sale.

10. Personal collection of work:
At the end of the exhibition, you will be advised of the date and time to collect your work.
